With the release on 23/8-22, Addo introduced a more convenient way to create danish NemID signatures. NemID and MitID are now locked to each other, so the signer is free to choose whether to use NemID or MitID.
If danish NemID/MitID is used, the user is authenticated before the document is read.
This authentication is then used to sign the document after the signer has accepted that the signer wants to sign the documents. The signature page will indicate whether the signer has chosen NemID or MitID.

With the release, the option to choose "NemID private" as signature method was removed. By allowing the signer to choose between NemID and MitID, Addo has taken the first step towards phasing out NemID private later this year.
