You've probably noticed that Mit.dk and Digital Post are more on people's lips when they talk about digital mail. The New Generation Digital Post (NgDP) has been released, where Danes now have the opportunity to see their digital mail on more services.
Addo Sign will offer you as a customer to send documents through all three mailboxes, but how does it work? What should I be aware of as a private sender, public sender or citizen? How does it affect me as a private sender, public sender or citizen?
In this article, we will address all these doubts and try to explain the whole set-up in the best possible way.

Overview of the different digital mailboxes
Danes now have a new digital mailbox in addition to e-Boks. We now also have Mit.dk and Digital Post. The different mailboxes have different functions, as well as senders who can send to the specific mailboxes. See what you can see in the different digital mailboxes below:
Digital Post
Digital Post will be the new mailbox for sending mail from the public sector. If you are a public sector organisation, you will need to use Digital Post as your primary mailbox. You can access Digital Post via the Digital Post app, which you can download from your preferred App Store. In addition, you can view your mail on borger.dk, as a citizen, or virk.dk, if you are a company (applies to public - and private companies).
Note! In Digital Post, you can only see mail sent by the public sector.
You can read more about Digital Post in our article, Digital Post - New generation Digital Post (NgDP - 2022).
Mit.dk
Mit.dk is a new digital mailbox that will act as an inbox for all messages sent from the public through Digital Post, as well as messages sent from private senders. You can access Mit.dk via the Mit.dk app, which you can download from your favourite App Store. In addition, you can view your mail on Mit.dk as a private company and citizen.
Mit.dk and e-Boks will be two parallel digital mailboxes where you can deliver to as a private sender. Please note, however, that messages sent to e-Boks will not appear in Mit.dk, and vice versa. We therefore recommend that users and private senders have access to/installed both e-Boks and Mit.dk.
Note! You can see digital mail sent from the public sector through Digital Post, as well as mail sent from private companies that have chosen Mit.dk as their distribution platform.
You can read more about Mit.dk in our article, Mit.dk - Next generation Digital Post (NgDP).
e-Boks
e-Boks is a digital mailbox that will act as an inbox for all messages sent from the public sector through Digital Post and messages sent from private senders. You can access e-Boks via the e-Boks app, which you can download from your preferred App Store. In addition, you can view your mail on e-boks.dk, as a private company and citizen.
Mit.dk and e-Boks will be two parallel digital mailboxes where you can distribute to as a private sender. Please note, however, that messages sent to e-Boks will not appear in Mit.dk, and vice versa. We therefore recommend that users and private senders have access to/installed both e-Boks and Mit.dk.
Note! You can see digital mail sent from the public sector through Digital Post, as well as mail sent from private companies that have chosen e-Boks as their distribution platform.
You can read more about e-Boks in our article, e-Boks - Digital mailbox for private senders.
How does it affect me as a customer of Addo Sign, as well as my recievers?
This new change will obviously have an impact on different customer groups who have chosen or in the future want to distribute documents to the digital mailboxes, as well as your recipients. See what impact it has on the different customer groups, as well as recipients:
Public sector customers
All public customers who had an e-Box integration before the implementation of NgDP will have been transferred or will have received an email about the possibility of switching to Digital Post. If you do not have access to distribute documents to Digital Post, you can read more about prices etc. on the article here.
Private customers
All private customers who had an e-Boks integration before the implementation of NgDP will still have the possibility to distribute documents to e-Boks. However, we would also recommend having the Mit.dk integration set up as well, as messages sent to e-Boks will not appear in Mit.dk, and vice versa. If you do not have access to distribute documents to e-Boks and Mit.dk, you can read more about prices etc on the articles:
Recipients/signers
The transition will mean that recipients/signatories will need to be more aware of where they receive their digital mail, as the inbox will vary slightly depending on who the sender is and who the documents are distributed to.
We therefore recommend that recipients and signatories have access to all digital mailboxes to ensure that they have access to all mail that is sent.
