We have recently experienced issues with customers trying to sign and authenticate documents with Swedish BankID when using the Microsoft Edge-Chromium-browser.
They typically experience the following:
The reason for these issues is the configuration for Microsoft Edge is build to use an Internet Explorer condition. This configuration only applies to Microsoft Edge version 77 and newer.
When a login or signing is activated in Visma Addo, a redirect to the webapplication happens. This is done by sending a HTML-formular with a POST-request.
It is this process that fails in the Microsoft Edge-Chromium-browser.
The reason for this is lies with the person who has chosen to configure Microsoft Edge Chronium in this Internet Explorer mode. Some do this in order to support web applications that only works in Internet Explorer. If you have this configuration enabled, it will look like this:
There exist two different solutions for this problem.
1) The website in use should be configurated as a neutral site in Entreprise Site Discovery Tool. The configuration should be none for the website in use. You can find further information about this configuration here.
2) Instead of using the SAML2-based API against Visma Addo you should use the REST API, where we do not see this problem.
