When a document is signed and returned with a text that says "please wait..." this usually means that it is an editable PDF and therefore Visma Addo does not have the opportunity to read the content.
When you are greeted by the above image on your signed document, do not wait for the message to be replaced by the sent document, as the signed document IS the "please wait ..." document.
The reason why Visma Addo signs the "please wait ..." document is because Visma Addo makes a Hash of the original document, ie. what you only see when you open the document in a PDF viewer, which is exactly the above view.
How do I get the right document signed?
To get the right document signed, it requires that the editable fields be made non-editable. This can be done either using a paid version of Adobe reader or using the guide below:
- Open the document in Adobe
- click "print"
- After clicking "print", select at the top op the pop-up as the printer: "Microsoft Print to PDF" and click print at the bottom of the pop-up, as shown in the image below:
- After clicking "print", you will be prompted to save your PDF to your computer, as you'll do, like the image below:
Once this is done, the document works for distribution via Visma Addo.
