You can use Authentication to protect against unauthorized persons accessing your documents.
When authentication are used with a transaction, the signer will first have to authorize with the selected method, before they are allowed to view/sign the document.
The different ways to authenticate your documents.
There is several different ways to identify the signer before sending documents for signing. Authentication includes:
- No authentication
- NemID private (Denmark)
- NemID Employee (Denmark)
- SMS Code
- Swedish BankID (Sweden)
- Norwegian BankID (Norway)
- SITHS (Sweden)
- Secret Code
When picking one of those options a text field will pop up, for you to enter the information required.
Like many other online authentications you can chose to authenticate your documents with a phone number and a SMS code. When sending documents to be signed the recepient will get a code via SMS to be entered before they can view the documents.
Secret code is a way to prevent unauthorized access to the documents in our signing portal by using a previously agreed code or "secret handshake" that only you and your recipient are in possession of.
This could be any alphanumeric code.
