The digital signature can be obtained by using different signing methods. Visma Addo supports all official digital signature forms in Scandinavia and our web-signature, which can be used worldwide.
When sending a document for signing, you have to choose which signing methods the signer has to use. Depending on the chosen signing method, you and the signer have to fill in the necessary information. For example, the CPR-number of the signer when using Danish NemID.
Visma Addo supports several signing options. In this section, the different options are summarized and explained.
Touchscreen Signature: With a touchscreen signature, the signer signs documents with their finger on a touchscreen. This method can advantageously be used if the signer sign with a smartphone or tablet. Using this option the signer also get the opportunity to upload a image of their signature.
- Note: The image of the signature must be either .png, .jpg, .jpeg, .bmp, .gif, or .svg. format.
OK Button: A signer sign the document with a simple click on a "OK" button. This can be used in cases where it is not necessary that the signer signs the document, but the sender must have documentation that the signer has seen the document - as a minimum.
Danish NemID Private & Employee: NemID Private is used when a person should legitimize their identity or sign on their own behalf while NemID Employee is used when an employee must legitimize and sign documents on behalf of a company. This allows employees to identify themselves on their company's behalf.
- Danish NemID Private is protected by a social security number (SSN/CPR number). To make sure that the only one who can sign the document is the intended signer, you must enter a SSN. However, if you do not know the signer's SSN you can send the document for signing anyway
- Either way, the full name of the owner of the NemID used will appear on the document and in the transaction's activity log.
Norwegian BankID & BankID Mobile: Norwegian BankID is used when a person should legitimize their identity and sign on their own behalf. You need to know the signer's birth number to use this signing option.
With Norwegian BankID Mobile the signer can sign documents via their smartphone. Norwegian BankID is used when a person should legitimize their identity and sign on their own behalf. You need to know the signers' birth number to use this signing option.
Swedish BankID: Swedish BankID is used when a person should legitimize their identity and sign on their own behalf.
